'Stroma A' is the former Aberdeen Pilot Boat No. 1, designed by GL Watson and built by Jones of Buckie.  Her larch on oak carvel built hull and traditional lines combine excellent seakeeping and strength with classic good looks.  Powered by a Gardner 8LXB (172hp) engine, she is fitted with hydraulic windlass, bow thruster and steering and has a full suite of navigation and communication equipment.  A well maintained and powerful “go anywhere” vessel suitable for survey and diving work, Stroma A has potential for conversion to a full cruising / liveaboard spec.
